The Bible clearly tells us that
all humans here on Earth will one day die physically and live eternally
in Heaven or Hell. We know that only the righteous will be allowed to
live with the Lord in Heaven, not the sinners. There is only one way
that we people can be made righteous.
* Matthew 25: 46 "And these will go away into eternal punishment, but
the righteous into eternal life."
* John 3: 36 "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who
does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on
him."
Self Realization
Each of us must acknowledge that we are sinners. Each of us has
fallen short of the glory of God. We cannot earn Heaven with good works
or worldly donations, it can only be given by salvation through Christ.
Each of us needs to acknowledge that we have sinned and are not perfect.
* Romans 3: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
* Romans 3: 10 as it is written, "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE;
Repentance
Each person must not only
acknowledge that they have sinned, but also stop sinning. The Bible
speaks of this process as repentance. It simply means to stop heading in
the direction that you are heading, and turn completely around. We must
stop sinning in our life if we expect to be saved by Christ.
* Matthew 3: 2 "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
* Romans 6: 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God
is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Pray for Salvation
Pray this prayer:
"Heavenly Father, I come to you in Jesus' Name. The Bible says that if I
call on the name of the Lord, I will be saved. So, I do that now. I
believe in my heart that Jesus came to the earth, was crucified, and
rose from the dead. I confess that Jesus is Lord. I thank you that I am
now a Christian -- a child of God! I am saved and have received eternal
life. In Christ's name, Amen."
Make Christ Lord of Your Life
Congratulations! You are now a saved Christian, who is Heaven
bound. Here are some helpful scriptures to memorize and apply in your
life.
* I John 5: 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the
name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal
life.
* Acts 2: 21 'AND IT SHALL BE, THAT EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF
THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED.'
* Romans 5: 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while
we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be
saved from the wrath of God through Him.
* Hebrews 11: 6 And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he
who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of
those who seek Him.
* John 3: 16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten
Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal
life.
